Prom is such a special moment for high schoolers across the world. Just last Friday I headed to my Senior prom and what a fantastic evening it was. I wore a beautiful luxury prom dress from Terani that stole the show. Let’s talk details before hopping into a few other couture prom dress styles that Terani has to offer!
Truthfully, I have always loved two piece gowns but my mother has thought otherwise, telling me that trendy is not the way to go for an event as monumental as prom. However, when I saw this Elegant Fitted Two-Piece Jersey Prom Dress 1811P5707, she and I both knew it was a match made in heaven.
This two piece dress is so elegant, coming with a sheer top with embroidery detail and intricate beading. The floor length skirt is a jersey material with a layer of tulle overtop. Embroidery detail and beading lines the waistline to complete the most beautiful dress! This gown comes in one color, Champagne Nude. As gorgeous as it is online, I felt that this dress was ten times prettier in person. The camera just does not do that beading justice when caught in the light!
The bust has built-in cups and padding so you don’t have to worry about dealing with the bra situation. This zips up the back and hooks at the top. The skirt is gorgeous. This is not a fitted style which was a nice change of pace from some of the other gowns I styled on my blog from various other prom dress designers. The tulle layer over top of the jersey material is so elegant. At 5’2″ this dress has lots of material on the ground. I chose not to get hemmed as I prefer the elegant train all fanned out.
This dress looked even better next to my date, Connor. We got him a navy tux with a champagne colored tie and an ivory pocket square. We ended up coordinating perfectly and received over fifty compliments from strangers as we made our way out to dinner! It was such a fun experience for the both of us and I truly felt so beautiful in this stunning gown.
So many people thought the two of us were getting married as we made our way downtown. I guess that goes to show how stunning this dress is in person, considering it was mistaken for a wedding gown numerous times!
